New entry level network surveillance cameras from Samsung

network surveillance camerasSamsung’s new SNB-1000 fixed camera and SND-1010 dome camera have been designed for budget conscious users who wish to capitalise on the benefits of network surveillance cameras Video over IP.

Despite being extremely competitively priced, the SNB-1000 and SND-1010, which are part of Samsung fast growing iPOLiS network camera and dome range, incorporate all of the features demanded by today’s video over IP installations. A multiple codec, for example, enables the simultaneous multi-streaming of video using H.264, MPEG4 or MJPEG compression. Real time monitoring, high quality or high efficiency recording, mobile monitoring and e-mail on alarm can all therefore be achieved at the same time.

Both the ONVIF compliant SNB-1000 and SND-1010 can transmit 25 images per second in real time at up to VGA (640 x 480) image size. The utilisation of H.264 compression ensures excellent image quality, whilst minimising hard drive space and bandwidth requirements.

Other key features include the option of PoE (Power over Ethernet) which offers the potential for substantial savings on cabling installation costs as power can be drawn from an existing network. The SNB-1000 and SND-1010 also have a motion detection facility, a multi-language on-screen display, a web viewer and are fully compatibility with Samsung’s license free NET-i viewer Centralised Management Software (CMS) which allows authorised users to  view live or recorded video from anywhere on a  network and NET-i Ware recording software that allows up to four-channels to be recorded free-of-charge, expandable up to 64 channels.
