DVS LTD AND LANTEC SECURITY ENHANCE THE SAND MARTINS GOLF COURSE SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM WITH HIKVISION TECHNOLOGY
Hikvision, the world’s leading supplier of video surveillance products and solutions and the UK based installation company Lantec Security have recently completed an install at the prestigious Sand Martins golf course with help from HIKVision’s premier UK distributor DVS Ltd.
Sand Martins golf club, located about 1 mile from Wokingham England decided it was time to upgrade their existing standard definition analogue system.
With the course being spread across acres of land, CCTV equipment is paramount to the security and smooth running of Sand Martins, something their previous equipment was failing to provide. The established golf club was due a whole new security infrastructure.
Steve Lane of Lantec Security headed up the install, utilising the latest technology on the market working closely with the UKs largest HIKVision distributor, DVS Ltd. A full HD system was designed and implemented using HIKVision equipment.
The project consisted of 16 HIKVision full HD cameras including vandal resistant IR domes, bullet cameras and even a newly released Lightfighter camera to watch over the grounds and inside the prestigious club.
The newly released HIKVision ANPR system was employed in the car park, recording every vehicle that enters the compound. The large field of view on the HIKVision’s ANPR solution means the camera can also act as an overview camera.
The install even boasts an auto tracking dome on the 18th hole that streams live into the club house for the entertainment of their members.
Steve Lane of Lantec Security commented, ‘We decided to go for a HIKVision system as the user interface is easy to use. Using HIKVision products also allowed us to provide an end to end solution to cover ANPR, internal/retail security and auto tracking dome which provides the pro shop overview to the 1st tee and 18th /9th greens to help with player traffic, along with general security around the clubhouse.
The 3MP picture quality is a massive improvement from the original analogue system we removed which will be a great help for any future
incidents due to the superior quality reproduced.
