Samsung’s new HD-SDI cameras and DVR deliver all the benefits of Full HD over analogue cabling.

Until now, the capture, viewing and recording of high definition images has been synonymous with IP network systems. The technology however built into Samsung’s new HD-SDI cameras and DVR allows the transmission of uncompressed and non-packetized Full HD (1080P) video over analogue cabling.

One of the main benefits of HD-SDI technology is that there is zero loss of image data and zero latency when viewing images. This makes Samsung’s new SCB-6000 fixed camera and  SCD-6080 internal dome ideal for applications where evidence grade images are required, such as airports, ports, banks, casinos and retail environments, but where is it not viable or cost effective, to transmit the images over a network. Back in the middle of January 2010 the MTN Group, the leading telecommunication service provider in Africa received an artec technologies AG MULTIEYE® HDTV video surveillance system for its data centre in Cameroon.

The objective target of MTN Cameroon was to monitor the whole premises as well as the entries and the exits and all server rooms with as few high resolution network cameras as possible. For this reason the 1.3 MP cameras of IQinVision were installed.
