LONDON, A Videalert CCTV-based ANPR system has been installed at the University of Hertfordshire to control rising bollards at two main entrances to the De Havilland Campus at Hatfield. The installation has been completed by Eurovia Infrastructure Ltd (a Vinci Group Company) on behalf of Ringway, a leading provider of highway maintenance services to local authorities under the seven-year Hertfordshire Term Contract. Mayflex the distributor of Converged IP Solutions has appointed a new Account Manager to manage and develop accounts in the Midlands, North and Scotland and will have a specific focus on the security product portfolio as part of the converged solution.
Joseph McManus joined the business on July 18th and will be responsible for the further development of existing accounts with an additional focus on growing security business in Scotland, working alongside an existing account manager based in that region.
Joseph’s background is predominantly security, having entered the industry in 2000 as a product demonstrator, moving to a national account manager role, system surveyor and finally a business development manager. Read more
Leading electronic and CCTV distributor DVS Ltd has been acquired in a management buyout (MBO) supported by a finance package from HSBC.
Tim Goodson led the deal for the Cardiff-based company, which is the largest independent CCTV distributor in the UK. He was supported by strategic accounts director Gavin Dunleavy.
Shaun Bowie and Scott Douglas acted as vendors for the deal. Both will retain a minority share in the business, with Mr Douglas continuing in his current role and Mr Bowie continuing in a consultant role. Read more
