Thames Water chambers topped with super-secure turrets

zaun-thames-waterRaised chambers housing flow gauges for London’s new multi-million pound ‘super sewer’ have been secured with intruder-resistant turret tops.

Thames Water’s extension to the Lee Tunnel was opened earlier this year by Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson before he departed his former role as London Mayor.

The 4.3 mile-long £678 million project took four years to build and was designed to stop sewage flushing into the River Thames and River Lee. Continue reading...

GEO AMEY awards uniform contract to DCC

geoameyDirect Corporate Clothing (DCC) has won a major contract to supply Geo Amey with branded uniform for more than 700 staff.

Geo Amey provides secure prisoner transportation and custody services across England and Wales.

The £600,000 contract will see Birmingham-based DCC supply trousers, shirts and jumpers to Geo Amey over the next three years.

Geo Amey provides its services on behalf of the Ministry of Justice and the Youth Justice Board. Its staff transport adults and children in custody and provide supervision of prisoners in custody suites and defendants in court rooms. Continue reading...
